The Role: As Façade Package Manager, you will work both onsite and in Head Office. This will be to manage the envelope on a project or a number of projects with a value of up to £50m.Projects range from Office Towers, Luxury Apartments, High End Residential to Mixed Use Commercial schemes.

Duties:

Assist Project Management throughout the value management process to maximise the financial benefit of the design

Support the delivery teams in all aspects of facade engineering including design development, procurement and construction.

Manage changes to engineering design whilst being mindful of budgetary requirements.

Assist Quantity Surveyors, Commercial/Procurement Managers to prepare sub contract packages.

Maintain awareness of contractual obligations of both the head contract and sub contract.

Act as a conduit of communicating relevant information as appropriate to consultants, authorities, site supervisors, construction workers and sub-contractors.

Drive performance by setting standards, objectives and holding people accountable for meeting them.

Assist the management team to create and implement the Project Management Plan.

Co-ordinate the activities of design management and provide a link between the design and construction to ensure the buildability of a design.

Review design to assess and ensure its compliance with requirements of regulatory authorities.

Assist with the integration of services and design co-ordination during project planning.

Undertake programming, planning and forecasting to ensure construction activities take place within overall construction program.

Monitor progress, identify and report on issues that may affect the program.

Hold at least weekly sub-contractor meetings to discuss H&S, Quality, Programme, Design etc

Ensure quality assurance processes and standards for a construction project are adhered to.

Inspect the work of sub-contractors for technical compliance and quality of work and ensure benchmarks are established and agreed with the Employer in good time so as not to effect the progress of the main works.

Qualifications and additional experience:

HND or Bachelors degree in a relevant field include Building, Engineering, Construction and Quantity Surveying.

Experience working on £50M plus Residential or Commercial projects.

The candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of contract administration, including procurement, commercial governance, risk & opportunity management and cost forecasting & reporting.  Knowledge of construction techniques and sequences is also essential as well as being conscious of corporate social responsibility, safety and sustainability.
