– Provide support and guidance to the site teams to facilitate delivery of construction, coordinating logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to contractual technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements.

– Review the performance of the site teams and the sub contractors and take appropriate action where improvements are required.
– Ensure the required support is provided to facilitate the timely payment of invoices and resolution of variations and claims.
– Provide task force support to each project during start up and to resolve problems during construction.
Significant construction experience in a Key Lead role during the set up and execution of Large Complex Building projects working for International Main Contractors.
Previous Middle East experience preferred if you are currently not based in the Region.
Experience and skills of leading projects in excess of circa 1 billion aed.
Min 20 years post graduate experience.
BSc in related subject.
Fluency in English language both written and spoken.

Duties:
- Prepare the Valuation report every month for each project till completion to keep track of all jobs completed (and their costs), prepare and submit the claim to the client / consultant for approval, receive the value certificate for the agreed value and forward the same to accounts for further action.
- Prepare the payment certificates for sub-contractors once value certificates are received and based on the jobs completed, arrange to pay them in according to terms specified in their contracts.
- Prepare cost reports clearly indicating the status of processed, received and pending payments, obtain approval from the CM and forward the same to Accounts.
- Prepare detailed specifications and obtain the estimates of additional cost from the estimates department in case of a variation i.e. a change in approved drawing or any addition to the job in order to obtain approval of the client
- Prepare final accounts once the job is completed, coordinate with the site engineer to confirm all works are costed, prepare and attach necessary supporting documents, obtain approval of the CM and receive a payment certificate from the client in order to enable the company to collect outstanding amount on due date.
- Guide and motivate team members to enhance performance and produce quality work.
Qualifications:
- Ideally a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar construction related subject.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry with ideally 3 years spent in the UAE with an Interior Fit Out Contractor.
- This role would suit an up and coming PQS who has the attributes to step up into an SQS role in the near future.
- Solid understanding and experience in implementing procurement strategies and forecast reporting

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to help support the business growth and workload across Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This role will report into the Estimation Manager based in the Bahrain head office. It’s a critical appointment forming part of the pre-construction team to help support the growth and demand placed upon the business in this current market.
Example of Projects
- Project consists of the construction of 7 km of dual 4-lane main highway, 2.6 km of associated dual carriageway, 3 storm surface water lifting stations, & adjustments to airport runway approach lights, in addition to all associated works
- Project involves reclamation of 155,000 Square meter peninsula, encapsulated in a 2.0 KM breakwater. To have a multi-purpose development along with a 120 berth Marina. Works involving Dredging, Reclamation, Soil Improvement, Breakwater revetment and Shore Protection works

A talented Estimating engineer who will work closely alongside an estimation Manager & technical Manager. Working in a team handling tenders of 500 million AED. The ideal candidate will add value, advise and technical expertise for all the mechanical elements that go into these high end fit out projects. Experience working on both site and within an office environment is highly preferable.
Salary:
AED 18,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
