IBMS Design Lead

We are seeking a ELV & IBMS expert to work in the Riyadh office in Saudi Arabia.  The right candidate with have a strong knowledge base of Data Center Projects across the Gulf Region.

You will be deemed as an industry expert in this field having spoken at networking & professional events on such topics.

Able to have meaningful conversations and meet with critical parties in relation to such Data Center projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Overview of the Role 

Responsible for providing datacenter design requirement for the Integrated Building Management Systems such as Access Control, RRS, Physical surveillance security & intrusion systems, HSSD, Public Address Systems, Fire detections and so on…

This position needs an overall understanding and in-depth knowledge IBMS. This includes co-ordination with multidisciplinary design teams, site team, consultants, and vendors as applicable. Responsible for concept design, schematic design, detailed design, GFC drawings through BIM along with all desired design calculations.

You will be responsible for checking of drawings, finalization of specifications and quantity estimates. Providing all necessary drawings, schemes, and design documents as per the scope of the project within agreed schedule and adhering to relevant codes and standards.

 

If we just say that you will have the past lessons, learnings and knowledge from the good and bad data projects. This is a role for someone that has an abundance of knowledge and interest in this sector. Not a role for someone to learn on the job! 

 

Experience needed with Integrated Building Management Systems 

  • Understanding of DDC/ PLC based system.

Electrical Lead Design

Based in the Head office in Riyadh our client is seeking an Electrical Lead for Data Center Design.

You will add values to all stages of live projects and tenders. With a strategic overview across all KSA & GCC Data Center projects.

Electrical Design Lead, you will be responsible for providing scheme and detailed design requirements. Guiding and mentoring an Asian Design Team based in Riyadh KSA & Outside the region in ASIA.

Providing engineering and design for Datacenter projects in all phases of projects from Scheme to final detailed design. Co-ordinating with multidisciplinary design teams, site team, consultants, and external suppliers / sub-contractors.

Responsible for concept design, schematic design, detailed design, GFC drawings through BIM along with all desired design calculations. You will provide and check all electrical design calculations, drawings, finalization of specifications and quants.

The following is required:
Design of EHV Switchyards 110kV, 220kV & 400kV and substation earthing
Design of MV(AIS/GIS) /LV Distribution systems
Power & Distribution transformers + UPS & batteries with all latest technologies
Understanding of local and international electrical codes IEEE, IS, BS and NBC, IEC (mainly
61850, 61439, 62271 etc.)
ASHRAE / ISHRAE relevant knowledge

HVAC Designer – Data Centers

The Role 

Responsible for design and articulate the HVAC design requirement for Datacenter and related critical and non-critical systems along with controls on design and operation. This includes co-ordination with multidisciplinary design teams, site team, consultants, and vendors as applicable.

Responsible for concept design, schematic design, detailed design, GFC drawings through BIM along with all desired design calculations.

He/she shall be responsible for checking of drawings, finalization of specifications and quantity estimates. Providing all necessary drawings and design documents as per the scope of the project within agreed schedule and adhering to relevant codes and standards.

  • Support and manage the design and development process on datacenter design systems requirements.

  • Should have Design knowledge of High side and low side HVAC systems.
  • Determines the size of HVAC ducting, and preparation of ducting layout and conducts friction loss calculation of duct work.
  • Determines the size of water and chilled water piping, preparation of piping layout and conduct pump head calculations for the chilled water piping.
  • Understanding of alternate water type cooling systems.

We are working with an International Consultancy in KSA on an iconic Giga-Project, they are looking for an Associate Director – Commercial. This person must be Arabic speaking and will be a key member of the Senior Management Team. The location of the project is Western Saudi Arabia.
