Major Project on the Sharjah Border in the UAE. We are working with one of the UAE’s Market Leaders for Data Centers and Technology Projects in the region.  As the Project HSE Lead you will take sole responsibility for the Project and your HSE Team on site.

You will have a dotted line into the regional HSE Manager and form a close working relationship alongside the Project Director.

This project has a Program of 24 Months and will peak at 2,400 Labour on site from sub-contract and direct workforce. This project is going to be seen as the first of its kind so its an exciting project to become a part of.

Duties / Background desired 

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in safety management on site in the UAE. This person will have taken the operational lead for a Buildings Main Contractor on a Project worth 550 Million AED ++ . This is not a project to learn on due to the vast pace on site and the demanding nature of the stakeholders and end client. For these reasons the client wont entertain candidates that don’t have prior Middle East experience for a Main Contractor.

You will have the people skills & communication skills to work with site teams, present to management and the client.  Able to promote , drive and plan both short term and long term safety initiatives on site.

  • Hands on experience on site leading safety teams for  buildings main contractor

Duties:

  1. Business Development & Project Identification:
    • Lead market research efforts to identify and evaluate potential construction projects within KSA.

Do you have knowledge on contaminated surfaces and have the ability to model calculating an optimal cut/ fill balance. Does the client worry about the carbon footprint, cost and program ?

Using models can you  estimate the quantity of surface/subsurface hard material that can be crushed to form 6F2/6F5 material that may be required for use as roads/pavement such as capping, piling platforms & so on.
