Quite possibly seen as one of the most complex civil engineering projects in the World right now and most certainly in Europe!

Based in Norway for a Major Joint Venture, you will be working alongside the Contracts Director on-site.

Leading a team you will be hands-on in managing & driving the strategy of this claim. Can you see the angles and how to not only protect the business but also to draw a line in the sand contractually with a client?

We are seeking to engage a Claims specialist who has a track record handling the following type:

•Provides assistance, support and guidance to Project Management and related functions, in relation to contractual issues both towards the client (contractual progress, reservations, litigation, etc.) and to the competent public bodies (program agreements, conventions etc.)
•Coordinates the processing and negotiation of claims requests, including details of additional costs
•Handles relations with the lawyers in charge, with reference to contractual management activities
•Manages variations
•Draws up and updates the reports required by the contracts
•Supervises the relationship with the client by taking care of the flow of correspondence

 

The Following is seen as essential by the hiring manager for this role :

•10-15 Years of Relevant Experience working within the Claims
•Construction Related Degree be that Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
•English Language – Mother Tongue – able to pull strong contractual documentation together
•Clear experience on Heavy Civil Engineering & Complex Construction Projects
