Leading INTERNATIONAL Buildings Main contractor with a significant portfolio of Data Centre, Industrial & Food related projects.

The group turns over in excess of $1.4 Billion but at present the spend in Canada represents 10% at 140 Million. The Board see this growing by 23-29% as a conservative figure over the next 12 months as they negotiate key awards.Your insight and expertise is needed on  North America to help support the 5 Year business plan as an integral part of the leadership team.

As the Group Commercial Director you will provide leadership and mentoring to your commercial department of quantity surveyors & procurement engineers. Your time will be spread across projects to ensure the financial success and strong performance of live projects whilst handling risk and disputes as and if they arise.

 

This contractor is extremely client focused and pride themselves on collaboration in a non aggressive approach and this is the formula that has seen them grow to a market leader in their sectors over the past 5 years. You will be expected to lead from the front but will be compensated in short and long term incentives. Do clients, the supply chain and your current team buy into you? Leave the ego at the door as this main contractor are all about “team work”.

 

Following is expected for a successful application:

  • Currently based in Canada
  • open to travel across North America to meet the business’s & clients  needs
  • 15 years post graduate experience in the market in a Commercial Manager / lead commercial designation
  • possess a can do attitude with a hands on approach to management and commercial activities
  • contractually and commercially astute with a clear strength of local contract laws and regulations
  • Chartered status
  • capable to manage, grow and recruit high performing teams that follow your leadership
