Technical Experience:
Fully experienced in all facets of accounting & Finance.
Hands on Experience in managing:
- A Department of highly trained accounting staff (15 people).
- All aspects of financial reporting from Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance sheet and related schedules and consolidated Financials.
- Adequate knowledge of Cost Ledgers and General ledgers and their reconciliations.
- Knowledge of Construction field accounting – Preferable though not mandatory.
- Ability to work on tight timelines, for monthly cost closing and month end accounts.
- Working knowledge of Tax related matters such as VAT & Corporate taxes.
- Scrutiny and analysis of various reports viz Banks, Debtors, creditors, WIP, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Payroll costs etc.,
- Overseeing & managing of Staff & Operatives’ payroll.
- Scrutinizing & authorizing of Journal Entries.
- Banking & Related aspects including knowledge of Bank guarantees, Lcs etc.,
- Managing Audit and engaging with the auditors and be responsible for timely and successful completion of audit.
- Role requires close interaction on regular basis with the Commercial & Operations team for compilation of project related information on revenue and costs and their reconciliations with financial records.
- Periodical review of systems and suggestions for improvement.
Candidate experience:
Fully proficient in use of MS Office / ERP systems / Numerical skills / Interpersonal Skills / Management Skills.
ACA / ACCA / ACMA / CPA qualified with a track record in the Construction field an advantage but not a necessity.
10 – 15 years Post Qualification Experience.
Ideally based in the UAE for the last 5 years.
