Role:

Prospective candidates should have experience in the full range of landscape design and project execution phases.

You will be contributing within concept generation and inform delivery of project(s) of varying scale and typology, working closely with a vibrant multidisciplinary team of architectural, urban design and Development professionals.

Strong ability to review, prepare, develop and edit drawings and presentations. Ability to solve design issues in a creative and pragmatic way by developing multiple designs options that meet the design approach and budget to contribute to external consultant’s solutions as part of an integrated collaborative approach

Duties:

Provide support in overseeing the landscape architecture, monitoring design stages progress, and planning and providing direction on scope of work for projects in design stages ensuring that works are executed by the consultants as agreed in terms of quality, standards, materials, schedule and cost in order to meet business objectives and requirements.

  • Support the design team on the design of both hard and soft landscape for architectural and urban design projects.
  • Support the design team in design stages and delivery.
  • Work closely with design groups and external landscape consultants to support project teams in creating sustainable landscape designs.
  • Promote good landscape design throughout the office.
  • Work with other team members to research and advise on suitable design solutions, particularly the horticultural aspects, on projects around the world.
  • Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required.
  • Constructively manage project scope and resource.
  • Provide regular project reporting to senior group.
  • Review/Develop RFPs and tender documents, define metrics and ensure that all the requested details (such as drawings, specifications, and raw materials) are clear to avoid any issues or misalignments during work execution.
  • Guide the consultant, monitor subsequent progress against that plan and ensure that corrective action is agreed and implemented at the appropriate level where variations from plan occur.
  • Take part in all meetings concerning design and construction, maintain constant awareness to ensure approved requirements regarding site condition, coordinate with design managers, monitor the work to ensure design implementation, give recommendations concerning the construction works, discuss site issues with the consultants and ensure compliance with tender documents and schedule.
  • Participate in meetings with project and design managers, give recommendations, discuss design issues, and generate solutions, communicate needs and recommendations.

Candidate requirements:

Ideally min 5 years experience in the role of Landscape Architect.

Bachelor’s degree in Landscape  Architecture or related field.

Working knowledge of the RIBA/AIA stages of work.

Should have strong ability with Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Autocad

Willingness to commute long term or move to the Northern Emirates to ensure a commitment to the growth plan our client has in place.
