Are you a Business Leader based in the Middle East or looking to return ? We have a European client looking to engage an Operations Manager coming from a Tier 1 Buildings Background.

Have you managed at this level or feel your ready to step into a regional / operations manager capacity. You will have a solid background of delivering successful bids & projects within the Buildings Sector. Our client is a main contractor handling values of £30-150 Million. They are not chasing the GIGA projects as they like flying under the radar delivering profitable work . They want programs of less than 18 Months as this ensures fewer design changes and better cash flow.

Reporting into a very direct Managing Director you will handle a region. You will be responsible for project teams ensuring success on site hitting program and managing budget. This will grow from 1-2 projects to 4-6 over the next 2 years with a very strong pipeline of opportunities that this clients is looking at. Some will be negotiated and not go out to tender and this shows the groups relationships throughout the Kingdom and the Middle East.

This business has a track record for building Hospitality Projects , Industrial , Residential & Commercial. They have successfully delivered 3 Data Centers of significant MW in the region and this is through a global relationship.

Fundamentally the group is not chasing TURNOVER but Profit . They want someone that understand the remote nature of work , time & commitment needed to set up such an office & region and in return you will be well rewarded in bonuses and career growth.

Following is key for this role …

  • Client are looking to hire a western educated individual with a Degree in either Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • You will have 10 Years relevant experience in a Project Director , Operations Manager or Contracts Manager capacity
  • You will have the personality and communication skills to business develop , tender work and close final accounts
  • Prior experience of managing teams , motivating and leading is key
  • Must have worked in the GCC for a Tier 1 & 2 Main Contractor on reputable projects . Did you treat staff and supply chain right as this is critical for a cultural fit for our client
