Procurement Engineer that has experience across the UAE handling Marine & Heavy Civil Engineering tenders. Sat alongside Estimation, Technical, Planning to form part of the pre-construction team.

The investment across the UAE at present is vast with a range of new projects coming off for major developers.  This group has a strength across complex and technical marine & civil projects with 26 Years delivering such projects.  This role offers stability, career growth in what is a family friendly location of Dubai.

You will report into the Procurement manager and will be tested at face to face interview to understand who you would reach out to for re-bar, concrete & man power. When you need a diver for a report who are you calling ??

 

Marine projects won & executed 

 

1). extension of the waterfront Reclamation of 155,000 Square meter peninsula, encapsulated in a 2.0 KM breakwater. To have a multi purpose development along with a 120 berth Marina. The works involve: Dredging from Borrow Areas, Reclamation, Soil Improvement, Breakwater revetment and Shore Protection works, Beach replenishment, and Groynes Construction, Construction of 1,300 m Block Quay Wall

2). 6 Million Tons of Rock Revetment, 9 Million Cubic Meters of Dredged Material Over 1 Million sq.m of reclaimed land. Works included demolition and removal of existing three breakwaters of various depths.

 

Duties in the Role 

  • Conduct Market Research
  • Develop procurement strategies
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Build and manage strong working relationships
  • Manage and drive tender compliance
  • Help coordinate procurement reports, forecast and budgets for management review
  • Advise on the pro’s and con’s for supplier selection
  • Communicate calmly and efficiently with all internal members of the team

Following is critical 

  • Clear experience handling Marine & Heavy Civil procurement from materials through to sub-contracts
  • Strong communication skills demonstrated from the off with NSR Associates
  • Degree Educated – Civil Engineering
  • UAE Experience
  • 8 Years Post graduation with solid site experience so you understand the challenges of marine construction
  • 3 Years procurement experience in a relevant role
  • Strong technical understanding of the sector and supply chain in the UAE
  • Able to start before the 12TH of January 2025 Latest
  • Fluent in English and Arabic is Desired

 

Offer for the Right Candidate

  • Lump Sum Salary Range is 17-21,000 AED Per Month
  • All business travel paid
  • 30 Days Annual Leave
