UK Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Main Contractor

A Project Director in this business is expected to be able to add value throughout all phases of a life cycle on a £40-100 Million Project be that Highways, Rail, Aviation or Energy.  You will see risk and also issues through skilled management and awareness of your people on site. Main Contractor seeking a leader with strong Civil Experience , contractual awareness and a key understanding of delivering works to time & budget.

This is not your standard Project Director role as teams are lean, programs are fast and you will be expected to see the wood through the trees when it comes to adding value and hitting program on site.

You will be joining a first class civil engineering contractor with a history for delivering works in remote & logistically challenging locations.

You will have to be open to Travel across the UK & Ireland to hit business needs. The reality is this may be getting to site / location late Sunday so you can set the team up first thing Monday AM. You will be expected to set the scene and lead by example as this project is your sole focus. Are the team on site motivated and happy, are you getting productivity from you sub-contractors. If not why not , these are the direct and honest conversations to be had.

Do you have the managerial skills , client facing skills and engineering experience to lead such a project & team.

 

Client is looking for someone that fits the following criteria.

  • Able to think on your feet & multi task critical risk
  • Handling P&L & letting sub-contracts
  • Cost versus Actual
  • 10 Years delivering complex civil engineering projects such as Infrastructure , Highways , Airport Works for Main Contractors
  • Degree – Civil Engineering
  • Chartered Status is desired but not essential
  • Communication skills – Do you have the soft as well as hard communication skills to win over and influence

If the CV is at the standard we are seeking then the following is on offer 

  • Basic Salary Range of £120-160,000 Dependent upon experience
