Are you an experienced Project Director with a proven track record in delivering Data Centre projects for Main Contractors in the UK or Europe?
We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to oversee the delivery of a new circa €210 million Data Centre project, worth 40 MW and growing. Experience in the German market is advantageous but not essential. This major Data Centre project is based in Germany.

About the Role
As the Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding our project management division. Collaboration with senior management will be key to devising strategies, setting goals, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Expertise in team building, project delivery, and client relationship management will be crucial in driving continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering and Innovation: Ensure efficient and effective performance in shaping and delivering the project.
- Project Planning: Develop strategies in collaboration with project teams to manage and motivate them.
- Budget Management: Track and develop plans for project costs, budgets, labour, commissioning procedures, and performance.
- Project Setup: Implement best practice meeting and reporting documentation and schedules from the outset.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Continuously engage with key stakeholders such as clients and design teams to ensure project performance.
- Client Satisfaction: Oversee ongoing client satisfaction with respect to cost, scope, and timescales.
- Health & Safety: Proactively monitor health and safety processes and the team’s culture and behaviours.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure that quality targets are achieved and exceeded.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: A degree in construction or engineering, coupled with relevant experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager/Project Director on large-scale Data Centre projects.
- Project Delivery: Successfully delivered a 40 – 50MW Data Centre project from inception to completion.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical backgrounds, with mechanical and electrical technical issues at the core of the project.
- Project Portfolio: Experience in major size data centres, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductor projects is highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: £130,000 to £170,000
