Incredibly exciting time for this International Buildings Main Contractor

They have had 2 Major Projects awarded in the Southern States of the US in the Data & Food Sectors of Construction both worth between $50-110 Million.

They are negotiating a further 2 Opportunities with Global Clients in the US & North America.

This business are seeking a Project Director / Operations Manager / VP that knows how to Build!  

Below should give an indication of the level, tasks & challenges ….

  • Main Contractor Background – strong understanding of urgency and sequencing . Time is money and you understand the knock on effects to the right or wrong decisions. You will be able to lead , mentor and develop your Site Managers, Engineers and Project managers.
  • You will work with the clients, team and supply chain to ensure collaboration and win win for all parties
  • You will treat the gatekeeper on site with the same respect as the Managing Director of the Client- This ethos is ingrained in the culture and ethics of this business (They pride themselves on doing the right things)
  • Happy to manage multiple teams and embrace all the travel that this brings in a nationwide role
  • Able to manage risk through a sensible approach. You will treat this P&L as your own as ultimately its what your bonuses will be paid from
  • Able to make decisions . Business moves fast so can you adapt to what’s needed quickly be that on site or in the boardroom

The Client 

  • 20 Years Successful trading & Highly profitable
  • Operating in 10 Countries at present
  • Track record on Mega Watt Data Centers, Pharma, Food , Distribution and High Technology Buildings
  • Small Projects would be $50 Million & Large $450 Million
  • Huge In-house capability from Design, BIM, MEP , Pre-Cast & Technology

The Role 

  • Reporting to the Board
  • Responsible for Multiple Project Teams
  • Hands on driving and developing the capability of the US business
  • Can you convert negotiated opportunities into profitable projects in conjunction with the owners
  • Expected to add value at both pre & post contract stages of construction & execution
  • Comfortable to client face & lead both internal and external parties
