Have you handled £5-10 Million Projects as the No1 Commercial Lead ?

Do you know how to make margin, manage the sub-contractor and exploit/ maximize commercial opportunities on site?

You will have a direct line to the Commercial Director in Head Office.

You will manage the cost reporting, contracts, procurement, sub contracts, payments, contractual correspondence with the client and all round surveying duties handling a small team of 3 on site.

Extremely fast paced , forward thinking and hands on business , most certainly don’t suffer fools and he or she must be able to make an impact.

We look after our people very well on package, working environment & give plenty of autonomy for he or she to succeed . We manage risk and allow the team to make informed decisions . We won’t micro manage and there is very much an open door policy here with no internal politics or EGO’s as we simply don’t stand for it.

 

Due to the nature of work the contractual constraints and terms and onerous due to the nature of work. On a current project the financial penalties range from £10-25,000 Per minute if a section of the airport is handed over late affecting planes landing and business operations. Stakeholder management is key so your communication skills are essential working within this sector of civil engineering.

Initially you will be based on an Airport project based North London / Home Counties. This Contractor handles projects across the UK & Ireland so an element of flexibility is expected to manage operational needs and your team. However 3-4 Days on site works with plenty of autonomy for the right person.

Do you match the following:

• Degree Quantity Surveying – Western University
• Solid career experience working for a Reputable Civil Contractor
• Currently based in the UK and able to attend face to face interviews
• Open to travel and working away when needed
• Strong NEC Contract Experience Option C
