Role:
Collaborating extensively with both internal and external stakeholders, the Sr. Analyst (Strategy) ensures that strategic projects, research undertakings, and financial analyses align with the Authority’s overarching mission, vision and strategic objectives.
With a keen focus on business case development for potential tourism advancements, the role is instrumental in ensuring that the Authority’s strategies contribute effectively towards achieving the authority’s goals, meeting performance metrics, and enhancing the regions position as a premier tourism destination.
Duties:
Strategic Formulation and Alignment.
Detect global travel tourism trends and propose actionable strategies.
Support the development and implementation of both long-term and short-term strategies.
Address and evaluate the regions tourism positioning.
Oversee the Destination Certification and Responsible Program.
Streamline financial analysis and feasibility studies for tourism products.
Coordinate end-to-end project timelines, ensuring timely delivery.
Validate and document projected KPIs.
Track, monitor, and report on visitor satisfaction and NPS.
Conduct research on visitor characteristics, providing actionable insights.
Coordinate with consultants and other external entities on outsourced projects.
Assist in preparing the Authority’s budget presentations with the Finance team.
Compile and present comprehensive reports for senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
Support the regions hotels in Sustainability Implementation.
Liaise with various government entities on relevant projects.
Collaborate with all Business Functions for stakeholder reporting.
The candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Management, International Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 8 years in Strategy, planning, analysis, or a similar function, preferably within the tourism, hospitality, or management consulting industry.
An understanding of global tourism trends, destination branding, and the nuances of the hospitality industry will be highly beneficial.
Experience in financial modeling, understanding of key financial metrics like IRR, NPV, and Payback Period is essential.
Demonstrable experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Experience in market research, competitive benchmarking, and analysis.
Experience in creating detailed reports for senior management and presenting findings, strategies, and updates to boards or executive committees.
Advanced use of tools such as Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, modeling, and presentations.
Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret complex data, detect trends, and propose actionable strategies based on findings.
Ability to adapt to changing business landscapes, emerging tourism trends, and evolving strategic priorities of the authority.
Willingness to commute long term or move to the Northern Emirates to ensure a commitment to the growth plan our client has in place.
